Hana Sato

Hana works with Amara Osei in the employment team and runs her own matters for employers, from contracts and policies to dismissals, settlement agreements and the protection of client lists when a senior employee leaves. She usually drafts the documents, which makes her the person who checks that what a manager said in a meeting matches what the letter says afterwards. Hana trained at Velden & Marsh and qualified in 2019, and she has stayed because she likes seeing the same clients’ businesses grow over several years. She led the departing sales director matter listed under Matters, which closed in four weeks without a court application. She speaks Japanese and has advised the UK subsidiaries of two Japanese companies on their first hires in England. She is also the firm’s data protection lead.
